Mark Alan Obinger, age 66, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. A proud veteran, an avid golfer, and a friend to all, Mark left an unmistakable mark on the hearts of everyone he met.
Born on June 16, 1960, Mark lived a life defined by his outgoing spirit and warmth. He was a long-time previous resident of Annandale, Minn., where he was a well-known and beloved part of the community. Mark truly never met a stranger; he was incredibly social and had a rare gift for making friends wherever his travels took him.
Mark proudly served his country in the United States Army. A passionate golf enthusiast, Mark was a familiar face at the annual 3M Open tournament, where he dedicated 20 years as a driver.
He will be deeply missed by his family, his wide circle of friends and the many lives he touched along the way.

Celebration of Life
Burial Service: Mark will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in a private service with military honors.
Celebration of Life: A public celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Sunday, July 26, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Lampi Auction House in Annandale, Minn.
This gathering will be an open-house-style event, completely open to all who knew and loved him. In honor of Mark’s social nature, the family invites you to come as you are, connect with old friends, and bring your favorite stories and memories to share.
