Sandra “Sandi” M. Lincoln went to be reunited with the Lord and loved ones peacefully surrounded by her children on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 at 6:23 a.m. at the St. Cloud Hospital.
She was born on June 11, 1955 to Chester K. Westman and Hazella (Chamberlin) Westman in Buffalo, Minnesota. She was welcomed home by three older siblings: Chester Jr. (Butch), Claude (Chuck), and her sister Sharon.
She was a free-spirited child and loved life each day. On Oct. 19, 1974, she was united in marriage to Dennis Wayne Lincoln at her childhood home in rural Buffalo. That union blessed the couple with four children. She was a homemaker for years and loved cooking and baking; her donuts never stood a chance, the kids knew and that was that.
She obtained employment when all the children were school-aged. Beginning with Delano Care Center, she worked there until the family moved to Annandale in 1989. She was employed by John’s Sausage House in Maple Lake and went on to work at Subway in Annandale.
The couple eventually moved to Howard Lake and began their retirement. Upon the passing of her husband in 2018, she chose to relocate herself to Cokato where she was “just down the hill” from her sister. While living there, she made many friends in the building, and also had the chance to meet her dear friend, Arthur (Chief) Rodriquez. The two had many things in common – a spiritual bond as well.
Sandi will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor, as well as her love for family and food! She and her sister loved to eat, often saying, “I don’t eat to live, I live to eat!”
She is survived by her children: daughter, Cindy (boyfriend Bobby), son, David (girlfriend Kyla), son, Daniel (wife Stacy), daughter, Denise Mechels, daughter-in-law Karen; grandchildren, Amanda (husband Ken), Austin, Alexandra (boyfriend Nick), Alec, Damian (girlfriend Annabelle), Connor (girlfriend Lauren), Rashad, Xander, Mackenzie, Zachary, Dominic (girlfriend Keara), and Christopher; great-grandchildren Alana, Grayson, Kaison, Carter, and Briella; sister, Sharon; brother, Butch; special friend, Art; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; her parents; brother; grandparents; niece; infant nephew; mother-in-law; brother-in-law; and daughter-in-law.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 9, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Avenue, Buffalo, Minnesota.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepeterson
