Linda Jean Sorensen was born on Sept.  12, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Julius and Florence (Winter) Sorensen. She grew up in the Twin Cities metro area and graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1975. Linda dedicated her life to nurturing the minds and spirits of those around her. She was a devoted Special Education paraprofessional for the Annandale Schools for over 30 years.

Linda was a resilient and strong woman who embraced life with grace and determination. She found immense joy in her retirement, which afforded her the treasured opportunity to spend more time with her family. As a grandmother, she created countless precious memories with her grandchildren, nurturing their hearts and minds with love and wisdom.

Linda’s passion for life extended to her love of gardening, where she found serenity tending to her plants, and reading, which opened doors to new worlds and ideas. She enjoyed baking delectable treats, often filling her home with delightful aromas that brought joy to family gatherings. Time spent on Sugar Lake – a sanctuary for relaxation and laughter – highlighted her appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. Linda’s love of pets and her family further underscored her affectionate nature.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Dechaine and Jennifer Dechaine, both of Maple Lake; grandchildren, Jack and Jake Dechaine-Johnson, and Mason Franklin; sister, LuAnn (Keith) Mickelson; and other dear family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sandra Maroschek.
