Jan King, 74, of Orrock, Minnesota danced her way into heaven after a short battle with lung cancer. Jan went peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019. Jan had five children, Tim Bergemann, Doug Bergemann, Bob Bergemann and his wife Cathy Bergemann, Jeff Bergemann and Donita Knaus and her husband Tom Knaus. She had seven grandkids and five greatgrandkids. Jan married Willie King and together they owned The South Haven Pub in South Haven, Minnesota for 16 years. Her husband, Willie, died in 1984. Jan was an expert in the kitchen and rocked many bar and restaurant establishments ever since with her incredible cooking and work ethic. She never did officially retire. Jan was a caretaker of anyone who needed a helping hand. She never allowed anyone to go hungry or sleep at night without a bed and roof over their heads. She placed no judgment and all were forgiven. Jan lived without regrets. She loved a stiff drink, a self rolled cigarette and ripping open some pull tabs all while joking and laughing with friends and family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas which made perfect sense. Even though there will be no funeral or memorial services held, we know our Mother would love and appreciate if in honor of her memory, you could reach out to a friend or family member in need or you lost some time with. Call them, Cook for them, laugh with them or buy them a drink and then forgive them. Life’s too Short to Dwell on Stuff.
