Joan P. Krolak
Joan P. Krolak, 76, of Buffalo died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Parkview Care Center, Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial was on Saturday, April 26, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo with Fr. David Hennen officiating.
She is survived by her husband Dan of Buffalo; children Michael (Sharon) of Glendale, Ariz., Mark (Rhonda) of Edina, Steven (Sarah) of Buffalo, Timothy of Buffalo, Jeanne (Alex) Caran of Littleton, Colo., Christopher (Nicole) of Savage, Joseph (Emily) of Lakeville; sisters and brother Paula Bushard of Denver, Colo., Thomas (Carol) Bagan of Lake Forest, Ill., Patricia Hansen of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren Stephanie (James), Krista, Alex, Jonathan, David, Danielle, Taylor, Drew, Matthew, Tyler, Amy, Bailey, Kira, April and Peter; great grandsons Tyler and Nathan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother James Bagan; brother in law Joseph Bushard; niece Michelle Morgan.
Joan Patricia Krolak was born the oldest daughter of Paul and Arvilla (Buckwalter) Bagan on July 11, 1937, in Jamestown, N.D. She graduated from Jamestown High School and studied Home Economics at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She married Daniel Krolak on Aug. 30, 1958, in Jamestown and started their life together in Minneapolis.
They raised their seven children in Richfield and Bloomington and recently they lived in Annandale and the past four years in Buffalo. Joan's passion was cooking and birds and she enjoyed her involvement with Band Boosters, Meals on Wheels, and Quilting Club. She was a homemaker, a religious education teacher, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
