Alice J. Meuwissen

Alice J. Meuwissen, 43, of Annandale died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the St. Cloud Hosptial.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 21, and was followed by the burial at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by her loving husband, Pat; beautiful children, James and Angela; parents, Jim and Audrey Hennen of Maple Lake; brother, Randy of Prairie City, Ore.; sisters and their spouses, Barb and Loren O'Brien of Monticello, Pauline and Rick Riehm of Annandale, Teresa and Tim Ferrell of Annandale and Cathy and Paul Segner of Annandale; father-in-law, Ben Meuwissen of Annandale; sisters-in-law and their spouses, Beth and Larry Snyder, Mary and Tom Nowak and Sue and Russ Ergen; brother-in-law and his wife, Mike and Mary Meuwissen; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Ann Meuwissen.

Alice Jane Meuwissen was born May 8, 1970, to Jim and Audrey Hennen in Buffalo. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1988.

On May 30, 1992, Alice was united in marriage to Patrick Meuwissen. She worked as a legal secretary for many different attorneys over the years. Alice overcame many obstacles in her life and was a faithful member of AA and OA. She was always willing to share her experience, strength and hope with others. She was an inspiration to many. Alice had a deep love for our Savior and was a devoted member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She touched many peoples' lives in her journey here on earth and was loved by all who knew her. She was an avid gardener, loved to read and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Urn bearer: J.J. O'Brien.

Music: St. Ignatius music ministry.

■ An Alice Meuwissen Memorial Fund has been set up at Annandale State Bank to help with James and Angela's future education expenses. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 239, Annandale, MN 55302.
