Ruby I. Kammerer
Ruby Irene Kammerer, 91, of Annandale passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the Annandale Care Center.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 400 East County Road 37, Maple Lake, with visitation one hour prior.
She is survived by daughter, Linda (Garry) Elfstrand; son-in-law, Michael Scanlon; grandsons, John, Jim and Jeff (Tammi) Scanlon; granddaughter, Erika Elfstrand; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alice Wolfsteller and Lucille Greenhagen, as well as other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marvin Engel and Alfred Kammerer; daughter, Audrey Engel Scanlon; siblings and their spouses, Myrtle (Ed) Horstman, Pearl (Vernon) Uecker, Carl Wolfsteller, Fern (Walter) Yager and Victor (Erna) Wolfsteller.
She was born on Nov.13, 1922, to Robert and Ida (Zander) Wolfsteller.
Ruby and Alfred farmed in Albion Township on Lake Henry prior Alfred's passing. Then Ruby lived in Albion Center for 20 plus years where she loved to garden and spend time with her grandchildren. She worked for many years in Annandale as bakery manager for Peery's Jack and Jill.
