Rees D. Alden
Rees Donald Alden, 49, of rural Annandale, died quietly in his sleep on Sept. 30, 2013.
A private memorial gathering and internment was held at United Lutheran Church on Oct. 19. A Celebration of Life luncheon and fellowship for all his friends will be held Sunday, Nov. 24, from noon to 6 p.m. at 8845 State Highway 55, Annandale.
He was born on March 3, 1964 to Leonard and Donna Alden in Watertown. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Delano. He then moved to rural Annandale where he has lived for the past 20 years. He farmed with his father and worked for Etchit of Buffalo, and then drove truck for Transystems, a subcontractor for the Southern Minnesota Sugar Beet Co-op in Renville.
He will be remembered as an easy-going and generous man, known by his friends as the "gentle giant" and "Rees's pieces."
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
