David A. Walter
David A. Walter, 81, of Lauderdale died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale, with Rev. Ruth Hograbe officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
David Allan Walter was born March 30, 1932 near Bird Island to August and Lydia (Pierson) Walter. He went to school at District 138 and after the family moved to Lake Sylvia, he attended and graduated from Annandale High School with the class of 1951. He worked in St. Paul and married Charlotte Cramer. They made their home in Lauderdale and had two sons, Jeff and Robert.
David loved to fish, garden, and play cards. He enjoyed his dogs and cats and the many hours he spent at the cabin on Lake Sylvia.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Monika) Walter of Lebanon, Pa. and Robert Walter of St. Paul; brother, Floyd (Una) Walter of Litchfield. David is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Muriel Walter.
Jeff Walter served as urnbearer.
