Joy A. Erickson
Joy A. Erickson, 55, of South Haven died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at her home under Allina Hospice Care with her family at her side.
Memorial services were Friday, Sept. 20, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball, with Pastor Luke Baehr officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of South Haven; sons and their spouses, Jason and Nicole of Buffalo and Christopher "Toby" and Sue of South Haven; step-children, John Erickson and Cathy Schouviller, both of Princeton; mother, Roberta Froom of Buffalo; father, Donald Froom of Minnetonka; brother, Darryl Froom of Fridley; grandchildren, Bailey, Trinity and Christopher and step-grandchildren Nicole, Lindsey, Jesse and Taylor.
Joy Alice Erickson was born Dec. 27, 1957, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Donald and Roberta (Jackson) Froom. She grew up and graduated in Fridley. On Oct. 6, 1979, Joy was united in marriage to Paul L. Erickson in Minneapolis. They lived in Minnetonka until moving to South Haven in 1995. Joy worked for 11 years for the Minnetonka School District; she was a loved lunch lady and playground monitor. Joy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, going out on the boat and especially loved to have fun with her grandchildren.
