Richard O. Noling
Richard Otis Noling, 92, of Buffalo, and formerly of Maple Lake, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo.
A memorial service was held at Saturday, June 29, at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Richard is survived by his sons, Dennis Ray (Denise) Noling of Richfield and Richard Dan (Deborah) Noling of Annandale; daughter, Michele (Duane) Raymond of Buffalo; grandchildren, Kristina, Jason, Nichole, Clinton, Garret, Kody, and Brennen; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorene in 2008; parents, Earl and Bertha Noling; brothers, Eldon Noling and Mervin Noling; sisters, Marie Wright, Josephine Coen, Ruby Leer, and June Roberts; and grandson Richard D. Noling Jr.
Richard was born on Feb. 2, 1921, in Clinton, Ill., to Earl and Bertha (Beerman) Noling. Richard honorably served his country during World War II in the European Theater. On March 23, 1949, Richard was joined in holy marriage to Lorene Matthews; their marriage was blessed with three children. Richard farmed all his life, but he also worked at Honeywell as an electroplater from 1951 until his retirement in 1982. He loved to talk, go for coffee every morning, camp, and play cards. Richard was also a mechanic and a very talented handyman who could fix anything.
