Juanita J. Flanders, 80, of Annandale died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at her home.
Memorial services were held Sunday, April 21, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Peter J. Martinson officiating.
She is survived by children Brenda McLean of Annandale, CN "Bobby" McLean (Carol) of Tyler, Texas, Ted Flanders of Annandale, Cindy Nelson (Lee) of Annandale; sister Louise Doyle of Wichita, Kan.; brothers Norman Ferguson (Lola) of Wichita, Kan., James Ferguson (Phyllis) of Washington State; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; sister Norma Jean, and brothers Max and Roy Lee.
Juanita Jewell Flanders was born May 26, 1932, at Heber Springs, Ark., to Alfred and Beulah (Biggs) Ferguson. In her younger years she was a waitress, then worked at Fabratech, Universal Circuits, Russell's Bar, Bob's Bay, Perry's Jack 'n Jill, Marketplace, and Annandale Foods. She loved working with the public. She also loved to work in her yard and each summer took great pride in her beautiful flowers. She lived to play Bingo every Wednesday night with all her girlfriends; she was always up for a quick trip to the casino and talking on the phone. She never met a stranger.
