Marilyn L. Kloetzke
Marilyn Lee Kloetzke, 77, of Monticello, died Saturday Jan. 5, 2013, at North Memorial Medical Center of Robbinsdale after a valiant 14 year struggle with cancer. There was an open house for family, neighbors and friends on Tuesday Jan. 8, at Marilyn's home. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Thursday Jan. 10.
She is survived by sons, Paul (wife Sharon) Kloetzke of Montana, Peter (wife Chase) Kloetzke of Georgia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Roz Hannula and daughter Lori of Annandale.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Alice; husband Ron; and son Ronnie.
Marilyn was born on Jan. 27, 1935, in Northfield to Leslie and Alice Mary Aeliva (Kofold) Wolcott. She married Ron Kloetzke on Aug. 11, 1956. Because Ron was in the service, they lived in various places including San Diego, Calif., but eventually settled on a lake in Annandale. About 12 years ago, they moved to Monticello where she loved talking to her family, visiting with neighbors, and exercising with her Silver Sneakers friends.
