Glen T. Mathison
Obituaries

Glen T. Mathison, 80, of Annandale passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Rejoice Lutheran Church, Clearwater.

Reverend Timothy Lindhorst and Reverend Scott Gjevre will officiate and burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Frog Lake Cemetery, Alberta. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Survivors include his children, Loren of Clearwater, Pam Kuhn of Foley, Dale of Clearwater and Patti (Wayne) Zabinski of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Carter, Connor, Sonia and Wyatt; sister, Evie Raasch of Morris; brothers, Merle of Brainerd and Delroy "Pete" of Detroit Lakes. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harvey and infant brother.

Glen was born on March 17, 1932, in Alberta, to Thore and Emma (Erickson) Mathison. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Glen married Marilyn J. Rignell on Dec. 29, 1962, in Alberta, they later divorced. He farmed in Stevens County for over 30 years and drove school bus for the Morris ISD #769. Glen retired and moved to in Annandale 1992. He was a member of Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater, the Morris American Legion Post #29, Morris Eagles Aerie, and the Sons of Norway. Glen enjoyed fishing, flea markets, Texas Hold 'Em, lutefisk, morning coffee with his friends, watching basketball. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
