Adeline M Johnson
Obituaries

Adeline M Johnson, 90, of Annandale, was called home by her Lord Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. A memorial service was held Thursday, Oct. 18, at Ostmark Lutheran Church, Watkins.

Adeline will be forever remembered by her children and their spouses, Bill and Marty Johnson, Dave and Barb Johnson, Chuck and Natalie Johnson, Susie and Roger Salmela and Mark and Jody Johnson; grandchildren, Mandy and Rob Rees, Merilee Johnson and Rob Wilcox, Tim and Sara Johnson, Beth and Maurice Walker, Janelle Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Brian Johnson, Shane Salmela and Angie Harms, Paige Salmela, Ryder Johnson, Cruz Johnson, and Jett Johnson; great-grandchildren, Christian Pyle, Canaan Johnson, Reanna and Alexis Braun, Genesis Johnson, Kaleb Wait, Brayden and Bree Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Marilyn Wolter, and many, many loving nieces and nephews.

She was born April 17, 1922, in St. Nicholas, to Joseph and Elizabeth Walters, one of 11 children. On Feb. 8, 1941, she married the one and only love of her life, Melvin Johnson. Melvin preceded her in everlasting life, Nov. 16, 1975. Adeline was most at home in the kitchen; baking her favorite treats and making an extra meal for anyone in need. When her children were teenagers her home was the place to be. All were welcomed, fed and loved. She was a selfless caregiver for many. She enjoyed a game of Solitaire, Rummy and word puzzles. She was an avid reader and loved current affairs.
