Guestbook entry by: Jerry Budd

Darrell Kelly my role model. I believe it was May 7th, 1941 at 5:05 PM when Darrell crawled on his belly into his father Joe''s home south of Annandale during a tornado, which had ripped a corn crib from a grainery. It flew over their home knocking the bricks off of the chimmney, in its flight out into the pasture. 1800 feet away from the home. Straw was stuck into the power poles like someone had drilled a hole. Metal from their barn was wrapped around the same power pole. Moving on I was at the Kelly farm when I witnessed a successful trapping of muskrats when Darrell was 17, April 10th 1944. Les Mills was the only one that knew what trapping was all about at that time, a good friend of Jim Budds. I believe June 7, 1951 Darrell took over the Kelly Farm. Darrell and Ellen made it one of the most sacred, beautiful farms in the country. Thanks of course to Ellen who knew how to ride a mower. --Darrell was with me when we ferried a couple of Cessna 206''s across the USA. He had the experience of a lifetime. He had guardian angels on his side since day one. I''m referring to Monzula, MT. Wendel can fill you in May 5, 1983 at 8:41 AM. Darrell like myself hasn''t missed a hell of a lot. He was with me when I caught a The Big Fish out of Homer, AK a 255 lb halibut 92" long, it beat the paint off the boat and dove 6 times. Darrell was in on the action. I put Darrel and wife Ellen on a pedestal they have done it all. Success is a progressive realization of a worthy ideal. Darrell say, "Hello" to my mom.
